My servers are in California, 3 hours behind me. Why in the Admin Panel do they show time as 2 hours AHEAD? That would put them somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. UTC time shows 2 hours behind putting them in midWest USA (PST). (Not sure what UTC is or guess more accurate, didn’t understand the definition)

There are a number of things that might cause that. Some at your end, some at the hosting end. Some physical facts (not all servers are where you think they are in today’s connected world) and some due to web host practices.

But the most common issue to check first is at your end. Look in Administration > Site administration > Server information. Search for and report back here the setting you have for the item “Default timezone

    time_zone SYSTEM

I do have an email in to Dreamhost too. They redid their control panel and I can’t find the info where the servers are. Just know they cannot be ahead of my time. There’s only Newfoundland time after mine, until you reach UK (land).

I didn’t say give us “time_zone”. I said: “Default timezone“ Search the information page for exactly that text.

default timezone America/Los_Angeles, which is where the servers are. So, should be 3 hours BEHIND my time. Actually, I was mistaken, it’s now reading midnight Client, 2pm server. That’s A LOT more than I originally told you. UTC is 9am.

Change the Default timezone to your local zone.

Where is this done? Are you saying Default time is Client time? Even if it is, it should be out by 3 hours (behind), not ahead

I’m not saying anything as such because I don’t know what is wrong with your system. Kiwitrees only reports what it reads from the server.

You need to change the server’s Default Time zone, which means changing the php.ini file, either your self if you have that permission, or by using a .htaccess file if your host prefers / allows that, or by asking your web host to change it.

Was just looking at the Admin Panel > Changes. The times noted are correct. Hence my raising this again. How can the 3 times be reading my server and be incorrect but the Change Log be correct? No purpose displaying incorrect times.

    Server time — May 11, 2016 – 9:25:38 p.m. >>> THIS S/B 4.25 PM
    Client time — May 11, 2016 – 7:25:38 a.m. >>>> THIS S/B 7.25 PM
    UTC — May 11, 2016 – 4:25:38 p.m >> no idea what this should be

    Change log: (last change made)
    2016-05-11 16:16:18 accepted F619 >>> THIS IS CORRECT AS IT’S 3 HOURS BEHIND

Sorry, but I still can’t help. This is a server issue. Either persuade your web host to investigate or ignore it.
