Okay, another request: Add a “clear” or “reset” so multiple searches can be done without having to remove previous content. I’m only at 929 of over 5,000 changes to be made 🙂 so would reduce bits of time.

Possibly. Depends on the outcome of your other question on related to this topic.

Meant for Kiwitrees-nova as you said for my other wish. I’m actually doing the S&R in BBEdit to cover off other changes I want to make. This file will become my upload for the test.

Thinking about this again (and reading your later comments), it is already included in kiwitrees-nova – on ALL autocomplete input fields, everywhere.

WAS REFERRING TO multiple searches in Update place names. Admin > Family Tree Tools > Update place names.

Yes, I know. That uses “autocomplete”, for which the underlying code is the same everywhere in the system. The only thing that changes from place to place is “what” is being searched for.

Refresh:
1. The image was to show what I see when autocomplete displays. Happens I was in Update place names but it does the same in record editing. I’ve unknowingly increased the population to include a lot of Eastern Europe. What Jerusalem didn’t claim, seems I gave to Hungary 🙂
Will see if my cleaning of my data and using your test file makes a difference. Will therefore leave 3.9.9. as-is.
2. My suggestion for “Reset/Clear” I assume is understood. Ability to repeat search for new place to update.
