The original GEDCOM was not mine so I didn’t think much of seeing “partner”. Then I realized what was wrong. The 1 MARR Y wasn’t appearing so for those records, I corrected (edit, save). However, there are some where this isn’t working. The attached is a sample.
It’s from my The Gerrer Rebbes 3.3.6

This has a 1 MARR Y with source and text so not sure why the marriage shows Stella BLOCH as being Partner’s Partner instead of Wife.

Can you provide the raw GEDCOM data for the family of Leo Hanau and Stella Bloch (F445) ?

The phrase “partners partner” suggest that F445 does NOT have a valid marriage event (1 MARR Y). This is also what I see when viewing that family as a visitor, but you have said it does, and that it also has a source and text. So there must be another problem.

That might be caused by the fact that their son is still living and therefore marked “private” – making the marriage also hidden. But there might be something else in the family GEDCOM data causing a problem (i.e. a bug).

This is also somewhat similar to the issues that raised the question of the visitor vs member access rules, which need fixing.

Leo (G601) was married twice. The “partner’s partner shows when viewing G603 record in the family navigator pane. G605 is the 2nd wife, no idea if he married as widower or divorce.

Actually it shows “partner’s partner” for both/either wife in relation to the other. It also remains the same whether you are logged in or not. And, as you said, 1 MARR Y exists on both family records.

Furthermore – I can see the same thing on my own site (in my own personal record!). So we have a bug in the relationship code. I will move this to the bug reports and fix it as soon as I can find where the error is.

Absolutely no rush! Where I don’t see a valid 1 MARR, I now know to add it. Otherwise, if it looks correct, will leave it alone.

Bug fixed, but it will have to wait for the next release before it can be used. Hopefully in January.
