    Got myself in a real pickle. Hit “Import” (A-D site) instead of “Export” and all came to a standstill at “Deleting old genealogy data”.

    Strangely enough, site works. It’s the page to do import/export that seems amuck. So, can’t do backup

    Sorry I couldn’t get back to you sooner.

    It’s likely that your server locked up, perhaps due to insufficient resources to effect the deletion. Your web host may need to restart it.

    If they can provide any error information when they do that it might help to check if it’s something we can help you avoid in future – or it might just be they can tweak the resource settings dor the ddatbase a litle to give you better capacity to run the export / import processes.

    Nothing seen at his end. The file was already on the server. I looked at A-D error log and all that’s there are Geoname errors. I ran the “Changes” report and it’s updated to 14-Nov-2021 because they’re in California (I’m @ 15-Nov EST)

    I can look at it for you, but only if you can supply access to the database. I can’t do anything, or even hazard a guess as to the cause from within kiwitrees itself.

    Are you able to see the page showing the “alters” as deleting in progress?

    Yes, but the cause of that is in the database. Nothing can be done about it without access to the database.
