Hi Nigel, Thanks for the latest update – I love your work!

I notice that the marriage of two dead people is now hidden if they have living children. Is that by design?

As far I know it changed by version 1.6. You can change it in your setup if you add the marriage record to show to visitors – if this is what you want to do (I have done that with my grandparents and since my mum still alive guests normally not able to see marriage record)

Jacoline is right. Its a change Greg made in webtrees quite a few versions back. I’m reluctant to alter it, and there are ways round it if necessary. I’m generally in favour of erring towards more rather than less privacy.
The issue was discussed at http://www.webtrees.net/index.php/en/forum/help-for-ver-1-5-2/28630-family-with-parents-or-immediate-family#43478

If you specifically want that marriage displayed (to clarify Jacolines comment) go to Administration > your family tree > Privacy. Add the family reference and set “show to visitors” to the list of privacy adjustments in the lower half of the screen.
