Hi Nigel, I’m having trouble with my site. I suspect it may be a problem with the PHP my service is running but not sure. Would mind having a look at the error on http://tree.potts.net.au and suggesting what to look for? I changed over the file DBStatement.php but it had no effect. The domain is hosted by crazy domains. Just when you have some time. Cheers, Jason

Are you using php 7? I think this is an error related to that. I havnt yet done any testing with php 7, so recommend you get your web host to drop you back down to 5.6 for now.

Further to my earlier reply – if you need help changing the php version details are here: https://www.crazydomains.com.au/help/how-to-change-php-versions/

Php ver 7 is still very new (only released Dec 2015). 5.6 is more stable, and will be supported (by PHP) through to Dec 2018.

Paul, one other thought – what version of MySQL are you using? I ahve seen a similar error message to this from MySQL 5.7, which is again a fairly new version.

Thanks for you help as always 🙂 It is back up and running now. They haven’t emailed me yet to say what they did to fix it. I found an email I sent them when a similar thing happened in 2014. I’ll post the fix when I know in case it helps others. Cheers.
