    Hello, trying to install Kiwitrees as a replacement of Webtrees (not happy with new version 2…),
    but get the following error message, despite MariaDB being higher than 10.1.21. Installation cannot continue.

    Grateful if anyone can resolve.

    <h5 class=”callout alert”>This database is only running MariaDB version 10.3.37-MariaDB. You cannot install kiwitrees here.</h5>

    <h5>Kiwitrees needs a database. MySQL version 5.0.13 or later, or MariaDB version 10.1.21 or later.</h5>

    Hi. Welcome to kiwitrees

    Fortunately I’ve already fixed that. Didn’t post it here before as not so many users on Maria-DB recently.

    Just extract the file “setup.php” from the attached zip folder and upload the file to your kiwitrees root, replacing the one there of same name. Then restart the setup process as normal.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    Overwrote original setup.php with the one supplied, but still get same error message.

    Can I just double check that the setup file attached is the correct one with the fix?

    Cheers
    Gavin

    No need for reply. I edited the file and made the following change to accept the MariaDB version

    define(‘KT_REQUIRED_MARIADB_VERSION’, ‘10.3.37’);

    It worked, and site is now up and working!
