Even adding the double break, still doesn’t display.

Don’t just add things. Do the job properly and copy paste from the original code as I said.
Then don’t forget to delete your kiwitrees cache folder.

By the way – you are viewing the change in the right language, aren’t you? If you set the custom translation for British English you must of course view it in that language!
I have tested your text myself and I promise it works fine if done correctly.

My Admin > General says British English. I did add same translation for US English, just for curiosity if that’s factor (it’s not).
The copy is from module.php.

My Admin > General says British English.
That’s not what I meant. What language are you viewing the contacts page in when viewing it as a visitor? You tell by looking at the language drop gown while on the page. The active language will bd highlighted.

OK. I’ll, back at home now, so I’ll login to your Royals site and fix it for you. Don’t touch it for a few minutes.

Its done.
Your standard text was NOT a complete and exact copy of the original.
You had an extra space immediately before the first ‘< b/>‘ , like ‘ < br/>‘. Seems a small thing but it is critical.
If you had selected the whole text from module.php as one piece, then pasted it into the text field there would have been no problem – in fact there could not have been a problem, as there wasn’t for me.

I’ve also done the second text. The problem there is that the original has extra spaces between a couple of sentences. No good reason for that, but you MUST still copy them exactly for translation to work.
I don’t want to change the original because it causes extra work for all transactors, in all languages. I might do it sometime when there’s a lot of new translations to do anyway, if I remember.

It was honestly a subconscious action to remove the spaces, not purposely. Thank you, with apologies. I see the British translation. I will do the US English one to replicate. Was going to be nice and offer French, decided to veto.
With Languages not “on” by default, perhaps the instructions should remind admins to turn on. And, DO NOT REMOVE any extra spaces found in original text 🙂
