There are three possible phrases that can be used in the display for “To:” (your lower image)

If there are two users are selected, one for Genealogical support, one for Technical support then two message boxes appear. One says “To: Genealogical support“, the other “To: Technical support“.

If EITHER one person is selected for both, OR, only one of the two is allocated (the other set to “none” as you have) then the simpler phrase “To: Support” is used.

I know – but I do not have any in the support only genealogy question. Then the “to” in the contact form should be “genealogy question” not support. I have not tested who the email goes to (the genealogy question is my dad and he gets confused if I try and he gets it)

I disagree (but there is another solution). “Support” means “Either genealogical or technical support”. Users always need both types of question to ask, even if you choose to only set one of them. If you want both to come to you, then set both to your username (but the result will still be a single “To: Support” box).

But if you want to do it the way you have way, then you should use custom translation to change “Support” to something else.

Nope you are right – we do not agree. 😛
Support does not cover anything else than “support”
    I edit my translation.
    Thank you

I never have a problem not agreeing, but I think this is more about a misunderstanding, possibly language related.

    Let me try another explanation

The box you are referring to is the title of a person, not the title of the box. That is why, in English, I use the term “To: Genealogical support” (meaning this message will go to the person who provides support help for genealogical questions). “genealogy question” is not a person, so is not correct in this place.

If you use two different people, then there will be a second box, with the person “To: Technical support” (meaning this message will go to the person who provides support help for technical (non-genealogical questions).

If you have the same person linked to both OR, only one of the options chosen, then the title is “To: Support” (meaning this message will go to the person who provides support help for ANY questions). As I said before, you may only want a Technical support person, but users can always want both, even both are the same person.

But in fact, if you want a different result, perhaps you do not even need a custom translation. Perhaps you simply need a different translation for these three phrases into Danish and we can make that the standard text for all Danish users:

    “Genealogical support”
    “Technical support”
    “Support”

I think most danes are using same person (incl. me at jaconelli.dk). But let us take it with NOVA (it is almost Christmas and you have plenty to do also with NOVA). I just edit my translation for this installation. I only noticed this because I moved the installation from WT and here it is very separated. And in the userdefined (vytux menu) contact menu I only used the “genealogical” contact and had both of them in the “footer” (standard setup for wt)

I know you respect other opinions <3

We can do that of course.

But this is only about a translation file (da.po), That will not change in kiwitrees-nova, at least not in this respect.
