    Hi All,

I have a cousin trying to add a divorce fact to an individual and we are surprised not to find one available in the pull down for “add a fact or event”.

In trying to help him out I tested adding a custom fact and it didn’t seem to work or I didn’t understand anyway.

I am sure I am missing something.

    I am still running version 3.3.2 – http://familytree.clanlore.com/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=gustafsoncummings

    Thank you
    Randy

You don’t say which “pull down”, but I assume you mean on the Individual Facts & Events page. Divorce (like marriage etc) is a FAMily event, so you need to add it to the family page (family.php) because these events should attach to both the husband and the wife, which happens automatically from there. More info about this can be found on this FAQ:

(Regarding still being on 3.3.2 – that’s OK, but I always recommend that you update as soon as each new version is available. 3.3.4 will be out soon. Each update “can” include important security updates, but these are not widely publicised, to protect from attacks. So always assume they are included. Also, in extreme cases it may not be possible to provide adequate support for issues on older versions.)

I knew It was going to be something obvious, once I found out.

    Sorry for the trouble.

I am afraid the reason I didn’t update right away was because I had a newby cousin going to try and enter data, and now I am exactly the same fix. But I will remember this time!

    Thank you much
    Randy
