In all these years, not used this feature before. Tried it now by clicking to copy 1 RESI details from record 1 to record 2. When I went to record 2, at the bottom I see “add from clipboard” then what appears to be dropdown only populated with “Death; New York City” probably in error elsewhere. I do not see the record 1 info. Did I do it correctly?

A few things that might have happened. I have checked other sites, and none seem to have a problem. It’s been a reliable tool for about the last 15 years. Try again after you read these points.

    • The ‘clipboard” only survives through your current session. So if you log-off, or shut your computer down they will be deleted. So it’s not very likely that “Death; New York City” item had been there very long.
    • Take a look at the attached image. It shows you how to do it.
    • Not sure from your post whether you clicked a link to open “record 2”, or you already had it open and just switched to that tab, If the latter, you would need to refresh that page to see the “Add from clipboard” option, or to see the new item in the drop-down if it already had at least one entry.
    • Doubt if it applies in this case, but worth noting that the feature only works for events copied between same-type records (indi to indi; fam to fam, etc.)

    See if these things help.

Got it. Tricky with Note as it’s on its own tab and the paste is on F&E but found it.
