    Many of my records have 1 NAME, no 2 GIVN/2 SURN. But when I edit they appear. So, edit up with a inconsistent format for names. Other that GEDCOM edit to preserve, any way to be all the same?

    Am I to assume I need to open/save all the 1 NAME records to make the same?

    Only if you really want to. Apart from “looks” there is no great reason to change them.
    For the same reason there’s no logic for spending any effort creating a tool to do it.
