I’ve moved this as it’s not strictly a translation issue.

It’s a small error in the login code. Fixed now for the next release. If anyone needs to fix it immediately just open the file kiwitrees/login.php and find this line (should be number 133):

echo '<p class="center"><strong>' . WT_I18N::translate('Welcome to this genealogy website') . '</strong></p>';

Just delete that whole line.
