I didn’t check them, they were checked. But did save anyway. It now shows. Weird!
That’s deliberate, but a little strange perhaps for sites involved in the transition from old methodology to new.
For a new set up no languages are enabled, but by going to that tab all that’s required is to click “save” as the default set of languages (32 of them) are pre-ticked ready for use.
What does bother me more is that with no languages enabled AND saved, you should not have had a language drop-down box on your front page at all. I’ll have to check how that could happen. Empty drop-downs are not helpful.
