I think that complex explanations about how to use these fairly complex modules that are best provided in the FAQ pages of this site, as part of the system documentation. If you would like to write something I would happily edit and then include it. Otherwise I will do it, but I don’t know when 🙁

As for user (I hope you mean admin) defined icons, yes I agree that woulld be good. It is on my ‘to do’ list. I will add it to the Road Map too.

Not sure about the “user defined names” though. What does that mean. In my mind I think it already exists, but I expect your meaning is different to mine.
