I changed http: // nobilitypro / genealogy to https in the _site_setting table (in the database) and the site started working on https
That is the correct solution, but done in the wrong way. NEVER DIRECTLY CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE DATABASE.
It is a risk to ever change anything in the database. For that reason all fields can be changed in the system settings.
The correct place to change the field you did is at Administration > Site Administration > Site configuration > Website URL, as described in my blog article linked to in the last email.
